Mission Projects

Each year the students at Redeemer Lutheran School support various mission projects.

Chapel Offerings:This year our chapel offerings are going to the following missions:

Quarter 1: WORSHIP FOR SHUT INS:

This first quarter our chapel offerings are going to support the work of “Worship for Shut Ins,” a television ministry produced by Lutheran Ministries Media, Inc., out of Ft. Wayne. The program is a worship experience in the Lutheran tradition that is grace-based, faith-filled, and features hymns and songs sung by choirs. It gives people who cannot leave their homes a chance to worship and hear God’s Word. To date, we have received $547.13.

Quarter 2:  FRIENDS IN CHRIST: Our second quarter chapel offering is going the
Amigos en Cristo. This is a branch of the Lutheran Heritage Foundation which provides a
Spanish NIV Bible with Luther’s Catechism to people in Latin America. Each Bible costs $5.00.
Students will also be including a personal note  inside each book

Quarter 3: URBAN OUTREACH: Our third quarter chapel offering is going to
support the “Kokomo Urban Outreach” program. This is a community ministry
founded by Jeff Newton, a Kokomo native. Kokomo Urban Outreach is a network of
churches, individuals and organizations whose goal is to move beyond the walls of the church
building, spreading the Good News of Christ in various neighborhoods, by providing help and
support to people where it is needed the most. Some of their programs include: Project E.A.T
(Everyone Ate Today), Sidewalk Sunday School,  Art Reach and Urban Impact.

Quarter 4:  PARISH NURSES (Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer):

The fourth quarter chapel offerings are going to be helping a ministry of Lutheran Church of
Our Redeemer --- the Parish Nursing Program. This health ministry at Redeemer reaches out
to the members of Redeemer with programs, information and care. In addition to this,
Kokomo community benefits from this ministry with such programs as the Diabetes
Care classes.

Cambodia Missions:

In addition to the chapel offerings, our students also supported two missionaries who are serving in Cambodia. We brought in supplies for the children in Cambodia. Our students shared towels, stickers, CD's and DVD's.
